questions and answers about traveling to africa

what will a safari cost

Prices vary significantly depending on country visited, time of year in which you travel, type of accommodations chosen, activities selected and mode of travel (luxury train, car and/or plane) to name a few.  As a general rule, however, you can expect to pay from $500 per person per day to over $1500 per person per day.

True, there are more inexpensive ways to visit Africa but we here at One With Africa have a deep commitment to providing you with the VERY BEST African experience possible.  This to us means customized, private travel rather than traveling with a group of strangers in a pop-top minivan and visiting places where you will be surrounded by many other such vehicles.  Wherever possible, we will put you in small, high-end tented camps and lodges in private, pristine reserves where numbers of visitors are kept to a minimum.  In some areas the tented camps relocate throughout the year in order to provide you with the best chance of being well positioned to see the best wildlife.  If you choose to travel from camp to camp by road you will have your own private vehicle and driver who attends to no one other than you.

These general prices are for the in-country portion of your trip and, as a general rule, include accommodation, transport, transfers, meals in camps and some lodges, park entrance fees, some drinks (specifics of which are in your final itinerary) and inclusive activities scheduled by the camps.

The above estimates do not include your international airfare, personal expenses and   pre-trip expenses such as inoculations, visas and travel insurance.

Your exact cost and what is and is not included will be fully explained in your final itinerary.
