Botswana’s Okavango Delta is considered by some to be one of the most incredible wildlife and wilderness sanctuaries in Africa. It is the largest inland delta system in the world - an area of 9,300 sq. miles filled with water channels, lagoons, swamps and islands. It is a sight that you must see for yourself to understand. Flying over the area presents colors, shapes, and forms that have previously lived only in your imagination. The diversity of habitat and wildlife is overwhelming. When you consider that this wetland paradise is located deep in the Kalahari Desert, its existence becomes even more impressive. Each year floodwaters flow from the Angolan highlands into the Delta, creating the miracle that is the Delta.
