Located north of Nakuru, this alkaline lake is home to thousands of
flamingo as well as hot springs and geysers along the lakeshore. You
can often see zebra, gazelle, baboons and greater kudu along the shore.
Although we saw no game here, it was one of our favorite reserves. The
ruggedness of the scenery combined with the hot springs and geysers make
this a very appealing spot. It is about a 2 hour drive from Nakuru so
it makes for a long day from Naivasha but we thought it was worth it.

Approximately 75 miles south of Nairobi, on the border of Tanzania,
lies Lake Natron. This alkaline lake is known for its large flamingo
population.
