Forming a natural border between Angola and Namibia, the Kunene River winds its way from Angola to the desolate Skeleton Coast. It meanders mostly through desert and provides the main water source for the area. This river creates a lush oasis along its banks which are surrounded by rugged mountains and sand dunes.
