Known for its huge lion population (said to be the highest in the world), the central Seronera region serves as the transition between the southern plains and the northern woodlands. The migration normally comes through here heading north around May and heads back south toward the end of November, early December. This is a land of gentle valleys interspersed with several small rivers. As the dry season progresses from July- October, cheetah are abundant and elephant, giraffe and buffalo come in search of water. This is the most visited area of the Park due to its good year- round game viewing.
