Stretching from the Seronera Valley out west to Lake Victoria, this is a lovely, rather peaceful land other than in June and July. Usually this is when the migration moves through the area and the wildebeest begin their rut season. Suffice it to say, this is a spectacle to behold. It is also here, around this time, that the migration makes the treacherous crossing of the famed Grumeti River. However, in times of extreme drought, the migration has been known to skip this area entirely and head straight for the more moist northern woodlands area.
