A true “get away from it all” experience, giving you a new perspective on vastness and isolation. Learn first hand from the San Bushmen how to read the many signs of the desert. During the dry season quad bike excursions are available to the vast saltpans where you can see uninterrupted for miles on end
This is not a game viewing venue but rather a cultural and historical experience. However, you will get to meet and interact with an habituated meerkat family and perhaps see the illusive brown hyena. During the wet season, the zebra and wildebeest migrations move through the area.
Accomodations are in one of ten comfortably elegant tents with an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilets, as well as hot and cold running water. Given that there is no electricity, your tent is lighted by paraffin lamps and you are provided a strong flashlight each evening.
This desert experience is highly recommended prior to heading to the more traditional safari destinations in the Delta.
