If excellence in guiding and service are at the top of your list of
what you are looking for in a safari experience, then you need to spend
a few days at Cottars 1920’s Safari Camp. Cottar safaris began in 1919
and Calvin and Louise Cottar faithfully continue the tradition of providing
an unparalleled safari experience.
Located in a 22,000 acre exclusive pristine concession, bordering both
the Serengeti and the Lolionda Reserve, this camp just outside the Masai
Mara is true to the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’. Simply
put, this is the real thing. Everything is first class here from the
professional yet warm, unobtrusive butler service to the excellent food
we enjoyed throughout our stay.
Walk with Calvin or one of his highly trained team members for a memorable,
up close encounter with wildlife. Day and night game drives are offered
as is river swimming and fishing. After a long day in the bush relax
with a massage, manicure, or pedicure.
Incorporating original safari
antiques from the 1920’s, each spacious luxury tent is assigned a personal
butler and consists of an en-suite dressing room, bathroom, bedroom
and a private verandah.
