A bit over the top and surreal?  Perhaps, but the fanciful, unique Hippo Point Estate is a treat one should afford themselves at least once.  We loved everything about this 600 acre estate which is beautifully situated between Lake Naivasha and Lake Oloiden.  There are two distinct properties on the estate from which to choose – Hippo Point House and The Tower.  You will enjoy the exclusive use of either of these properties.  No other guests will be booked during your stay. 

Hippo Point House is a large, three-gabled Tudor farmhouse built in 1933, lovingly refurbished to the highest standards with English and French furnishings and set amidst a gorgeous traditional English garden.  The house contains eight bedrooms with en-suite baths, two dining rooms (including an outdoor one with a view to the lake), a drawing room perfect for lectures on a favored topic, a sitting room, a video room and a library with a great selection of African and contemporary books.
