Sabuk Lodge is perched on the high banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in
the Northern Frontier District, overlooking the Laikipia Plateau and
Samburu land. As you look out over the haunting beauty of this vast
wilderness you will think time has stood still.
The region nurtures exceptional wildlife and cultural diversity. It
is home to many communities including the Laikipiak Maasai and the Samburu
tribes. Around Sabuk the area is wild and hilly and is populated with
Greater kudu, Reticulated giraffe, buffalo, impala, elephant, klipspringer,
zebra, eland, dikdik, waterbuck, lion and leopard. Great bird watching
and incredible scenery round out its appeal.
