Doro Nawas Camp provides a fascinating combination of Africa’s past
and present. Nestled against a small hill on the Aba-Huab River, overlooking
ancient plains, the landscape ranges from boulder-strewn floodplains
to curious rock formations surrounded by sand dunes. Each day, herds
of desert elephant travel up and down the riverbed in search of water
and vegetation.
Each of the sixteen canvas and thatch units include a bedroom, en-suite
bath, outdoor shower and a private verandah for sleep outs or star gazing.
Doro Nawas Camp provides an excellent base for exploring the area either
on game drives or on foot. Additionally, you can view Africa’s largest
collection of petroglyphs (prehistoric rock engravings) and San rock
art at Twyfelfontein.
