Located within the 52,000 acre Phinda Private Game Reserve, the intimately integrated Phinda Vlei Lodge sits on the Reserve’s vlei (wetland) system along the edge of the rare sand forest.  Its close proximity to the Indian Ocean allows you the unique opportunity to view elephant, turtles, cheetah, sharks, rhino and dolphins all in one day.

Each of the six luxurious suites offers a spacious en-suite bathroom, dressing room, personal bar, private plunge pool and large viewing deck from which you can observe herds of grazing antelope, zebra and a stellar array of bird life.

Activities include game drives in open 4X4 vehicles, nature walks, riverboat cruises and canoeing along the Mzinene River as well as excellent birding.  At an additional cost you can select from various beach excursions including snorkeling and scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, horse back riding and cultural visits.
