Built on a gently sloping hill overlooking a waterhole and the Grumeti
River, Faru Faru Lodge is the Singita Grumeti Reserve’s most nature-inspired
camp. As does its sister camps, Sabora and Sasakwa, Faru Faru provides
the ultimate luxury safari experience. This is a very upscale, yet authentic,
East African river lodge.
The usual game drives with well qualified guides are available but what you don't want to miss here is the guided walking tours, particularly along the river. During the dry season, usually June through October, the resident game of elephant, cape buffalo, giraffe, zebra, gazelle, impala and topi seek life sustaining water from the river. During the migration which usually occurs in June and July, you will be witness to one of the most spectacular sights of all time. At other times of the year, when game is not so plentiful you can enjoy all the other activities on offer including archery, lawn croquet, mountain biking, equestrian pursuits, and hot air balloon rides.
