Ready for some over-the-top decadence and indulgence after spending
some nights in the bush? Then you need to consider a night or two at
Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. Prior to visiting here, we thought the hype
to be a bit much but the genuine warm welcome, excellent service and
rooms that deliver more than their photos promise has changed our minds.
We think this is a fun, romantic place to spend a couple of very special
nights.
Perched on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, the views are nothing short
of breathtaking. The lodge consists of three separate camps; two have
12 suites and one has six suites. This is all about luxury, indulgence
and romance. Each suite consists of a huge bedroom and sitting room
graced with floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the Crater below.
The bath features a large shower and chandelier-lit bathtub. Your personal
butler will attend to your every need including drawing you a bubble
bath and stoking the fireplace.
Activities include daily game drives into the Crater in closed game
vehicles with pop-up roofs, bird watching, as well as half-day trips
to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting Sands. Optional activities (extra cost)
include Crater rim walks, cultural visits, sundowners on Lake Eyasi,
and private bush breakfasts and lunches on the Crater floor.
