Swala Camp, situated in the remote southwest corner of the Tarangire
National Park far from other camps, allows for a quiet and private safari
experience. The service is excellent and the game viewing superb in
the dry season (traditionally July to November).
Each of the nine en-suite tents is attractively furnished and has a
private verandah which overlooks the bush and the Tarangire River basin.
If game is in the area, it is here, on your deck, that you can spend
hours watching the comings and goings of elephant and impala.
Although Tarangire National Park is best known for its elephants, it
is home as well to giraffe, buffalo, zebra, cheetah, lion and leopard.
In fact, on our last visit we had two adult lions join us for dinner.
Talk about a story to take home with you!
Game drives are offered in open 4X4 vehicles as are bush meals and traditional
sundowners.
