Situated on top of a high bluff overlooking a sweeping bend of the Tarangire River, Tarangire Safari Lodge has one of the best locations in Tarangire National Park. The day that we visited (late October) you could see hundreds of animals from the large viewing deck.  It put us in mind of a diorama given the sweeping vistas that formed a deep back drop for the wild game.

This great game viewing in combination with a good value is the reason to stay here.  Its central location makes it relatively easy to visit all the areas of the Park. The accommodations (35 tents and 5 bungalows) are simple, clean and functional.  The food is nothing to write home about but unless you want to spend many more dollars, this is your best budget option in the Park.
