We like everything about this camp. It is small, brilliantly hosted, simple yet cozy and beautifully situated along the shore of Lake Eyasi. Kisima Ngeda warmly invites you to stop, rest and collect your thoughts. This is truly a remote and little visited area that is only accessible by a 2 hour drive on a very rough and dusty road. The focus here is not on game viewing but rather enjoying the spectacularly beautiful scenery and spending time with the ancient Hadzabe tribe. Read more about the Hadza experience. Each of the seven en-suite tents is comfortably furnished and most have a view of the lake from the private verandah. Surprisingly for this remote a location, there is hot and cold running water. Bird watching is a favorite pass time. The area is home to African fish eagles, crowned cranes, Verreaux’s eagle owls and hammerkops. Guinea fowl and francolin, kingfishers, herons, egrets, cormorants, plovers, and Egyptian geese abound. Walking paths have been carved through the lakeshore forest giving you the opportunity to experience this beautiful and unique environment on foot.
